Friends of the Library Supports Multnomah County Library

The Friends of the Multnomah County Library (FOL) advocates for and supports our outstanding public library. We are committed to providing supplemental funding for library programs and services and sponsoring activities which engage people who value our library.

Since 1972, FOL has advocated on behalf of Multnomah County Library and provided funding for critical programs and services including National Library Workers Appreciation Week, Adult Summer Reading program (Read4Life), East County Library Building Project, Electronic & Audio Books, Mobile Power Bank Outreach for those experiencing houselessness, Library Staff Technical Kit Upgrades, Refugee Dictionary Project, and more!

FOL has recently provided $200,000 in funding to assist with building costs associated with the new East County Library which is scheduled to be completed in Spring 2026.
